When I do curtains, I think I'm going to get the rod like Sariah's. It might just be long enough for my purposes and if not, Sariah says there's a way to make them longer.
If you look at the windows again, there isn't much room between the corners and the long windows, so I might have to take the finials off. Sariah, that is why I was thinking of using the curved rods in the corners. Also there isn't room for holdbacks in the corners unless I do the old school cloth or some kind of tie to pull them back.

There's only like 2-3 inches from the side windows to the corners. I hate these windows! Plus, if I put the holdbacks in the corners they would be hard to access because of the speakers. The reason why Steve has initially agreed to curtains even though we already have miniblinds is becaues quite a bit of light still comes in and creates glare on the TV. Sometimes it's really bad. Also, sometimes the sun is in your eyes when you're sitting on the couch. So, the "function" of the curtains will be to block out all sun light. That being the case, I want to be able to pull them back easily when I want light.
So what I was thinking was 4 panels on the long wall. And then I would draw them back like this:

This is what Abish is suggesting:

I'm hesitant to do this one because the curtains would be touching the back of the TV, which gets hot, and also touching all the power cords. Fire hazard!
Aren't you glad I know how to use Paint! Well, sort of.
